Portrait of Inge

A while ago I made a portrait of a girl who I know from the art academy.
She studied audio visual design and she made a documentary about her own life and the stress about the choices we make in life and what we should be doing with the rest of our lives after graduating.
I really liked her film because it was so honest and touching and it's a subject I think is closely related to everyone. I'm not sure if I make the right choices in life and if what I'm doing now is okay. Life seems so short and we have this image of what we are going to be, or who we want to be, but how do you get there and aren't we wasting time on the trivial stuff. And am I going to regret the things I'm not doing now because I'm scared of a few things? The film got me thinking a lot and it triggered me to make a portrait of her.

She really liked it, I hope you do too.

For now

Just for now, maybe I'll make it better some day, I don't have the time for a few weeks. But it will probably get my attention again in a while. (click on picture for better view)

Digital Painting

There are different people out there from who I get my inspiration. One of the persons I adore is called Loish. I know Loish' art from Deviantart. http://loish.deviantart.com. I love her artwork because it is raw in some way, but still it blends with all the colors. The anatomy in her artwork is so nice and I also like her portraits very much.
When I see her work I just want to draw as much as I can, so hopefully I can be as good as she is one day.
That's why I looked at a new portrait of her and I thought, I want to try that aswell! I want to try digital painting like that. So I did.
It's not yet finished, but I'm so glad already with this outcome. Definitely because it's my first time trying. So that's why I'm showing work in progress, because I just want to show someone!
I do hope I will be entirely glad one day, because I keep adjusting. But untill now it's only getting better by adjusting, so, we'll see..
(the portrait is me when I was little, I had the photo next to me when I was drawing)
