Figure drawing

*Sometimes blogspot doesn't understand that I turned pictures, this is happening in this message. Also it doesn't understand sometimes that text doesn't belong with some pictures but needs to be at another position. My apologies for those malfunctions.*


These are the results of figure drawing last semester.
I do think they are sketches, mostly, but I like the idea of coloring some parts and leave other parts blanco. And I really like the colors.
In real life they probably do look better.

I want to put more effort into it and work on the colors. Elaborate it.
My style finally begins to take shape and it becomes clear what I actually want.
Straight lines and colors, more simplicity. Light subjects and more air to it.
I'd like that.





I actually wanted to add a peacock to this scene, but I didn't come to that yet.















In these drawings I liked to only add colors to the skirt, so this got more attention.

I'm really happy !! :D This is the first time I actually feel at ease with Maya (lots of thanks to Dave who is really helping me out)

This weekend I'll be watching tutorials for the rig and facial rig, god, I hope it will work out. I want to start with the animation before the Christmas holidays begin, but modeling took me one week longer then expected.
Well anyway, I do think the lines are pretty perfect now, so I'm expecting no problems with that during rigging.

Apart from that I'm starting to feel more confident again. I'm so stressed out most of the time, but I'm actually starting to believe that my work isn't bad at all (lack of confidence). And I'm really doing great at the moment. I'm just very enthusiastic about the current design and I'm looking forward to the minor period.

I did lose my tablet pen, which is a shame. I don't think it's worth to buy a new pen, because it costs €35,- and that's pretty much what my tablet is worth. It was on the schedule to buy a new one, but not this soon... A new bigger one will cost me €170,-
And I'm not sure if I can actually pay that. Maybe with some help from mom?
It's really stupid though, because I draw better at the computer at the moment (it changes), and it's pretty annoying to have no tablet for a while..
